Have questions about league play?
New players can join anytime before a new season starts. Upcoming season schedules are posted on the GPL website at least 30 days in advance. We do ask that you are sure the league night schedule will work for you (9 weeks of Thursdays at 6 p.m.) before registering. Use this form to sign up for our next season.
Dues for the winter 2026 league will be a one-time $10 per season, per player. Part of the total will be the required fees to IFPA so players earn official WRRP ranking points. The remaining amount will be used to fund player prizes and other fun. You will only need to pay dues for seasons when you are an active player.
Players will still be required to pay for arcade admission each week. Right now this is $15/person on Thursdays. After league play is over you are welcome to stay and enjoy the arcade for the rest of the evening.
Players will be divided into groups. Each group will play 4 total machines together. Select either a 3- or 4-player game depending on your group size and then take turns. When everyone’s game is over, write down your scores on the provided paper scoresheet, and have someone take a 3-5 second VIDEO of the final score screen. (Do not just take a picture, some older displays may not photograph well and won’t show all the digits.) Then you will all move on together to play the next machine.
When all four machine games are finished, sign your scoresheets and bring them to the organizers. They will be entered into a website that will track league match and division standings that can be viewed online here: http://gpl.league.papa.org

No, the arcade will be open to other patrons as well. The league will strive to operate without interfering with other guests. Please be respectful to non-league members at all times.
We’d appreciate a heads-up ahead of time either on the Discord or an email to admin@gainesvillepinball.com. You can drop two of your weekly scores to allow for a couple absences when life happens. If you don’t show up for 4 or more nights in the season you cannot qualify for playoffs.
Machines will be selected the week before each session to ensure that they are currently in good playing condition. A backup machine will also be selected in case a machine is not functioning properly. There will likely be at least one modern Stern per week along with other classic titles. We will post the weekly machine list in the Discord and on this website.
The inaugural 2025 fall season is not registered with the IFPA (International Flipper Pinball Association) and players will not earn WPPR (World Pinball Player Rankings) points. There are plans to add this in future seasons beginning in winter 2026.
All members will be invited to join the league Discord. If you don’t want to use Discord, GPL will contact you via email. Season dates, scores, rules and the FAQ will be updated on the website. However, there may be additional content in the Discord that is not on the website, including chats between fellow league members.

Stern Insider Connected is a free app that allows you to “log in” to certain modern Stern machines when you play them. The app will display a QR code on your phone that you can hold up to machines equipped with QR code readers so it registers you as the player for that game. The app will track your lifetime personal achievements and the machine will announce/display them while you play! Track high scores, earn badges, join challenges, follow other players, and more. It really does enhance the experience and access to most features is free.
