Have questions about league play?
New players can join anytime before a new season starts. Upcoming season dates are posted on the GPL website at least 30 days in advance. We do ask that you are sure the league night schedule will work for you (9 weeks of Thursdays at 6 p.m.) before registering. Use this form to sign up for our next season.
League nights are held at Bragging Rights Amusements, 113 NW 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601. [Machine List] There are multiple parking lots nearby, be sure to check out the parking map to make sure you are parking in an arcade lot.
GPL dues are a one-time $10 per season, per player. Part of the total will go towards the required fees to IFPA so players earn official WRRP ranking points, and for our league software subscription. The remaining amount will be used to fund player prizes and other fun. You will only need to pay dues for seasons when you are an active player. Dues can be paid at the first or second meet. We accept cash, Venmo or Cash App.
Players will still be required to pay for Bragging Rights arcade admission each week. All machines are set to free play. After league play is over you are welcome to stay and enjoy the arcade for the rest of the evening. Each week league members receive a voucher for 50% off their first beverage at the snack bar.

Our online scoring software requires registration for each league night so it can build the roster. If you do not register for a particular league night we will assume you are not coming! Registration closes at 6:05 p.m. the night of the meet.
All players must sign up for a free Match Play account. Log in and search for “Gainesville” and click on “View All” for the Tournaments list. Locate the first GPL meet (#1) for the season and click the title to view its detail page. Click the “Register” button near the top of the page. Verify your name and click the Register button again. Repeat this for each meet. If you know in advance you will miss a night, skip it and do not register for it. If you sign up for a meet but can’t make it, you do not have to delete the registration but please do not check in that night. You can verify your registration status by clicking on the “Registrations” tab for each meet.
Please plan to be at the arcade at 6 p.m. (or earlier) for warm-up and check-in. Play will begin promptly at 6:15 p.m.

When you arrive at the arcade, log into your Match Play account. Search for that night’s meet page. Click on the green “Check-in” button.

If you can make it to league night but may not be there by the start time, please check-in on the Match Play website before 6:15 p.m. so you are still included in the night’s groupings. Your group should move you to the last position. If you haven’t arrived when it’s your turn, your ball will be plunged. This will continue until you arrive.
* NEW FOR FALL 2026! We have changed our software and nightly format to increase the opportunity to play against different opponents over the course of the season.
After check-in closes, players will be randomly divided into groups and randomly assigned to a machine from the weekly list. Your match assignments can be viewed on your phone on the Match Play website or on a tv screen at the arcade. Select either a 3- or 4-player game depending on your group size and then take turns.
When everyone’s game is over, have someone take a quick video (not a picture) of the scores and then use Match Play to enter the results. You will only record the places earned (1st, 2nd..) and not total scores. Scoring is 7/5/3/1 points for 4-player groups; 7/4/1 points for 3-player groups. When all matches have finished for that round, the next round will begin and players will be assigned another random machine and set of opponents. Repeat until all four rounds have been completed. Your total points after 4 rounds will be your score for the meet.
No, the arcade will be open to other patrons as well. The league strives to operate without interfering with other guests. Please be respectful to non-league members at all times.
We’d appreciate a heads-up ahead of time either in the Discord or an email to league@gainesvillepinball.com. Please do NOT check-in to Match Play if you are going to miss that night. If you registered already you don’t need to un-register yourself, just don’t check in. We use the best 6 of your 8 weekly scores to allow for a couple absences when life happens, but if you don’t show up for 4 or more nights in the season you cannot qualify for finals.
Machines will be selected the week before each session to ensure that they are currently in good playing condition. A backup machine will also be selected in case a machine is not functioning properly. There will likely be at least one modern Stern per week along with other classic titles. We will post the weekly machine list on this website and in the Discord.
Yes, GPL league seasons are sanctioned by the IFPA (International Flipper Pinball Association). All participants who finish a GPL season will be assigned an IFPA Player # if they don’t have one already, along with a worldwide ranking. Learn more about World Pinball Player Ranking (WPPR) points.
All members will be invited to join the league Discord. If you don’t want to use Discord, GPL will contact you via email. Season dates, results, rules and the FAQ will be updated on the website. However, there may be additional content in the Discord that is not on the website, including chats between fellow league members.

Stern Insider Connected is a free app that allows you to “log in” to certain modern Stern machines when you play them. The app will display a QR code on your phone that you can hold up to machines equipped with QR code readers so it registers you as the player for that game. The app will track your lifetime personal achievements and the machine will announce/display them while you play! Track high scores, earn badges, join challenges, follow other players, and more. It really does enhance the experience and access to most features is free.
